I am Mana; a photographer and a woman .
Just like other women, I am surrounded by massive advertising through all kind of media that encourage me to change who I am each and every day.
To put make up on, to be skinny, do plastic surgery, wear high heels and change and change and change ..to be more attractive in this competition that has no end.
I -like most women- sometimes feel depressed, low self-esteem and upset when I am not who I am supposed ! to be.
I try , so hard, to remind myself over and over that there is no one like me, like this woman, with this combination of skin color, shape of eyes, nose, lips,.....and the heart and the mind that could think, see and feel the world the way I do.
I am a photographer and my female clients are sometime too worried about their make up and their body rather than capturing their natural beauty.
My "NO MAKE UP" photography project is just an excuse to remind myself and others to love ourselves maybe a bit more than before for who we are.
